Redspice Meatballs


Ingredients for the meatballs:

500g mince

2 slices of bread

1/4 c milk

2 Tbsp grated cheese

1 egg

3 Tbsp fresh herbs

1 chopped onion

2 cloves garlic

2 tsp Redspice

1 Tbsp olive oil

Ingredients for the sauce:

1 tin tomato puree

1 tin tinned tomatoes

2 bay leaves

1 tsp Redspice

1 tsp balsamic vinegar


Heat oven to 180 degrees. Blitz all the meatball ingredients together in a food processor until well combined. Heat oil in frypan and sear meatballs thoroughly. Place in casserole dish along with the sauce ingredients.  Cover with lid and cook for 20 minutes. Remove lid and cook for another 20-30 mins, until meatballs are brown and the sauce is bubbling.

Serve with pasta and a salad.
